How and why Neck Sofa® was created.
Neck Sofa® began with one family’s search for a more structured, therapeutic, and comfortable way to support the head and neck.
WHERE IT STARTED
A personal problem became a purpose.
Like many successful products, Neck Sofa® was created to meet a critical need: a more structured, therapeutic, and comfortable neck support pillow.
The journey began when AJ, the co-inventor, suffered severe whiplash after a head-on car accident. Although doctors suggested surgery, they could not guarantee improvement and even warned that it might worsen her condition.
Choosing not to undergo surgery, AJ sought relief through acupuncture, spinal injections, specialized exercise programs, and other therapies, but nothing provided lasting relief.
After trying countless treatments with no success, AJ began searching for a neck support pillow. She tested inflatable, beaded, and hard memory foam pillows, but none provided the support she needed.
AJ and Gabe identified problems in traditional U-shaped neck pillows and began developing a better solution using an internal support structure plus soft memory foam.
After two years of research, development, testing, and refinement, Neck Sofa® was created.

Questions about how Neck Sofa® began
Neck Sofa® was created after AJ suffered severe whiplash in a head-on car accident and struggled to find a neck pillow that provided the support and comfort she needed. After trying many existing pillow designs without success, AJ and Gabe decided to create their own solution.
Neck Sofa® was developed by AJ and her husband Gabe. AJ’s experience with chronic neck pain inspired the idea, while Gabe helped turn that need into a new product design.
AJ found that many existing neck pillows were too low, uncomfortable, or lacked enough structure to properly support the head and neck. Most also followed the same basic U-shaped design.
The breakthrough was combining an internal support structure with soft, lightweight memory foam. This created a design intended to offer both structure and comfort while remaining flexible enough to fit different neck sizes.
AJ and Gabe spent about two years researching, developing, testing, and refining the product before bringing Neck Sofa® to market.
